We are a newly created family having just been married on August 21st. Its been good for all of us as we explore what it means and how it works to be in a relationship where love is the first and most important part of each day.
My children are happy, at least most of the time. They love having an adult male who respects them in their home. They love laughing with him, tickling him, punching him and just hanging out with him.
For Vernie and I, it is nice to not be alone after so long of being alone. There is someone else to share the burden with - to care, to hold, to be there, to love. Its a good thing for all of us.
On Labor Day, the girls wanted to have a tea party. So they put it all together - lemonade and water in the tea pots, two kinds of sandwiches, peaches, apples, oranges, pluots, celery, cucumbers, red bell peppers, tomatoes, peas, carrots and chocolate! It was yummy and all got demolished fairly quickly.
